Overview
By default Cube-IQ will attempt to fill containers with the maximum loaded volume or loaded weight feasible. However, containers can be set with fill limits to dictate what threshold load volume and weight must respect. This article will show you how to set a maximum and minimum fill on containers.
Requirements
You must have any currently supported version of Cube-IQ installed on your computer with a valid license, or be logged in to Cube-IQ Web.
Procedure
Here is a sample load where loaded volume is utilizing 100% of the available space
To enter the values for maximum or minimum fills, do the following:
- Launch Cube-IQ
- Click on the Containers tab
- Click on the Loading sub tab
- On the container page in the Loading tab the containers Fill limit can be set:
- Minimum: Minimum Percent Weight or Volume allowed for this container.
- Hard Minimum: Denotes value that must be respected and can't be any higher.
- Maximum: Maximum Percent Weight or Volume allowed for this container.
- Last Container Maximum: Maximum Percent Weight or Volume allowed for last container.
Once your fill has been entered with a maximum or minimum limit, you will be able to see the load. Below is a sample load optimized after setting the maximum fill to 50%. There are now 3 containers loaded utilizing a maximum of 49% volume.
